Non-Surgical Knee Care in Riverdale

Knees that ache on stairs keep a lot of people in our area from doing what they love. Our Riverdale clinic offers a full knee evaluation with an exam and imaging when it is needed. Your provider goes over what it showed and the non-surgical options that apply, like gel injections. The visit is billed to Medicare and most insurance plans. Deductibles and coinsurance still apply.

What happens at your evaluation

Your visit starts with a conversation. Your provider asks what your knees stop you from doing, how long it has been going on, and what you have already tried.

Then comes the examination. Your provider checks how the knee moves, how steady it feels, whether it is swollen, and where the pain actually sits.

Imaging is used when it is needed to answer a question the examination leaves open, so you are not sent for scans you do not need.

Before you leave, the clinician goes over what the exam and any imaging showed, and talks through the non-surgical options that apply, which can include gel injections, cortisone for short-term relief, and bracing.
